Recently, through my connection to Boston Parent Bloggers, I was invited to a lunch with Erba Vita, an European company that produces nutraceuticals (which, if you didn’t know, like I didn’t know, is “a foodstuff that provides health benefits in addition to its basic nutritional value”). In this season of allergies (which are torturing me), I was interested in learning more about products that we could have on hand to use in times when we weren’t feeling 100%. I was kindly given a selection of Erba Vita items to try out.
One of the Erba Vita products that was of greatest interest to me was Leg Light (which smells great), as, at my place at work, we run conferences that require lots of on-your-feet-running-around for several days on end. While having a product like this won’t prevent blisters, it will likely help tired legs and feet feel better. The company also offers products to help with sleep, stress, digestion, and other health issues.
Erba Vita makes a number of products for children that I haven’t yet been able to try out since the kids have been healthy, other than a nasty case of poison ivy my son got playing in the woods behind our house. I’m keeping them in mind for cold and flu season, especially the Propolis throat sprays, which are made from bee hives (very cool).
I typically haven’t gone the herbal supplement option when we’ve been sick. We either ride out the illness or stick with get-something-at-Walgreens route. Learning more about Erba Vita, though, has piqued my interest in more natural options, and it’s something I will keep in mind for the future.
You can learn more about Erba Vita here.
