Weekly Roundup: Downton Abbey, Cookies & Chores

Are you a fan of Downton Abbey?

We’ve just started watching it and I cannot get enough. The clothes alone are worth watching. So elegant. The story lines and acting are wonderful, too. (The social system of Great Britain! Women’s suffrage! Star-crossed love!) The best part is that my husband and I are watching it together, though I am torturing him with questions (despite his not having seen the show before) and a demand for more episodes (we must finish seasons 1 and 2 as soon as possible).

Despite our new television watching, I’ve managed to find some interesting items for the Weekly Roundup. Here they are….enjoy, dear readers….

-I read about these cookies several weeks ago, and I can’t get them out of my mind: nutella stuffed brown butter sea salt chocolate chip cookies. Yum.

-Having it all: fostering a conversation for women, by women.

-What a clever way to keep track of chores: a DIY chore chart.

-Helpful tips for new bloggers from Centsational Girl.

-Looking for Halloween costumes for your little one? Here are some cute DIY options.

Dreamy bookshelves and storage with library ladders: sigh…..

-50 Shades of Grey: A celebration of color.

-Longing for Italy but not on your horizon? Live vicariously through this blogger (a friend from college).

The ONE Campaign has taken a group of parent bloggers to Ethiopia: follow one woman’s story here.

Wishing you a lovely week!
