Our sleep training has gotten off track a bit. We’ve been stymied by congestion (oh, baby sniffles are the worst) and a nighttime car ride to Grandma’s (though Gwendolyn slept most of the way). She fell asleep at 8:30 PM tonight and is still sleeping 1 hour and 15 minutes later, so I’m hopeful she’s down for a long stretch.
In other child sleep training issues, we’re wondering when to transition Robby to a “big boy bed.” He’s over 2 years now, and we need the crib for Gwendolyn. A friend suggested a novel idea: reward Robby with the new bed when he stops using his pacifier (his “binky”). I like this, as it addresses two issues simultaneously. But, I’m concerned about the new bed. He’s such a good sleeper that I would hate to do anything to disrupt that. I’m just not sure we can handle sleep training and re-training for two kids at once. Thoughts?
